The vet says Coty is about 11-12 years old and blind, she also had a hernia which we removed in October. She started having seizures which I'm thinking were surgery related because she hasn't had any in a few months now. She has recently been on antibiotics and steroids for a cough which didn't get much better. But she's now on a cough suppressent and antihistamines, and that seems to have helped her. She was just diagnosed on Friday (March 17th) with conjestive heart failure, an enlarged heart and fluid in her lungs.

She went to the vet's yesterday and her visit went very well, the fluid in in her lungs is down. She's now taking lasix and a steroid for the inflammation to her trachea caused by the swollen heart. She loves all the other dogs, especially her best bud the hound dog Walker!

She's a perfect little sweetie and has me wrapped around her little paw. I'm fixing her turkey, brown rice and vegetables twice a week. Although sometimes she gets chicken instead.

The round photo in the center is how Coty looked when she first arrived, she has since been cleaned up, and clipped and what a doll she is!
